Abstract

The increasing complexity and criticality of industrial motors necessitate effective monitoring solutions to prevent costly failures and downtime. This paper presents an IoT-based Motor Vibration and Temperature Detector designed to address the lack of real-time monitoring and early warning systems in current practices. The system aims to improve operational reliability by providing accurate and timely detection of motor vibrations and temperature fluctuations. We developed and evaluated an IoT-based solution that integrates advanced sensors with real-time data processing capabilities. Our results show that the IoT system outperforms traditional methods with a 5% improvement in vibration detection accuracy and a 6% enhancement in temperature detection accuracy. The system also offers twice the data throughput, lower latency, and reduced computational load compared to traditional batch processing systems. Furthermore, it is more cost-effective, providing a substantial return on investment while maintaining high performance. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of IoT technologies in enhancing motor monitoring systems, offering significant improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
